-Even though the song may not be written about this, matt's parents divorcing kinda fits with the beginning of the song "boy..girl..sitting underneath a tree..everyday. Even though you may think this is the way that things should be, it may not always be that way".
-The rest of the song "If you dont believe I've been here all along, just turn around" kinda fits with the episode "the crest of friendship" where matt sinks into his depression and thinks hes got noone, then gabumon pulls him out and matt realizes hes been there all along for him.

~Things may not always be the way you think they should be. Don't take things for granted, live life today, in the present. Matt yearns to change, and goes off to 'find himself' (ep.151- the crest of friendship) burying himself in the darkest times of his past that he kept inside for all those years. After feeling alone, he realizes Gabumon has always been there all along, and helps him put things in perspective. The main obstacle preventing him from change, self-growth and happiness, was himself~
