This is the homebuilt FM broadcast audio processor I designed as shown on...
http://darkliferadio.proboards.com/in...
This is a 2 band audio processor, one for baseband audio and one for high frequency audio 75uS pre-emphasised before limiting. It limits both LF and HF audio content, low pass filters anything above 15kHz, 19kHz notch filters for the stereo pilot in FM broadcast, and finally clips any overshoots causing little harmonic subsonic garbage.
It's designed to do everything a proper professional stereo FM broadcast processor does on a complete (albeit pirate radio budget) w/o the multiplex included which is fine for most of us using low powered transmitters that have that built in anyways.
9 OPAMPS and it sounds as clean and clear as 1500$ professional processors. You be the judge. It works for me and is a hell of an upgrade from a basic audio limiter like most Part 15 or Pirates use.
You can find the circuit and a long comprehensive thread on this processor, the schematics along with lots of other info on The Free Radio Forums as linked above. This project is (C) Kage Electronics 2012. You are allowed to build and modify the design but no selling the plans or final designs based on the same or too similar designs w/o my permission.
