Luis Baquero, better known as Bakke, is a Colombian-American artist whose soul has been intertwined with the art of DJing since the age of 15. Now based in NYC, his journey into the depths of sound began in his youth, captivated by the rich, polyrhythmic textures and synth-driven pulses of the 80s and 90s. Raised in South Florida, Bakke’s musical palette was shaped by the early 2000s electro and progressive scenes, propelling him headfirst into the world of house and techno.
With a keen ability to merge nostalgic tonalities with futuristic soundscapes, Bakke brings his distinct flavor to every set. His unwavering passion and wide-ranging influences fuel his mission to educate and elevate the dance floor, one carefully selected track at a time. A core member of the LinkMiamiRebels collective, Bakke holds down a residency at Club Space, easily one of the most iconic hubs for electronic music in the US. More recently his own event series brand: Bak 2D Future was launched in 2024, focused on exploration of past, present, & future timeless selections.
