Glossopharyngeal neuralgia symptoms could be pain in one side of throat, one side of tongue, and deep in the ear. All these pain symptoms are electric shock like or sharp-shooting, unbearable, very severe, and only during swallowing. This can happen while swallowing saliva, or food or water.
