Описание: Use the DSUM formula, which is one of the Google Sheets database functions, if you want to sum a column based on two or more criteria. If you want to sum a column based on only one condition, then the SUMIF formula would be ideal for the task.

The D in the DSUM formula or the function means database.

Where should you type the DSUM formula? Type it in a cell where you want to store the output of the DSUM function, which can sum based on multiple criteria.

Let's look at the format of the DSUM function in Google Sheets:

=DSUM(database, field, criteria)

You have to type a formula in a cell in Google Sheets, like in Excel, first by typing the equal-to symbol. Then follows the name of the formula, which in this case is DSUM. Next, in this formula is the opening parenthesis. For the database, specify a range of cells with data. Each column of the database must have a header, and you should include the headers in the database range.

After you highlight the database, type comma. The next DSUM function parameter is field. This is the column whose numbers in its cells you want Google Sheets spreadsheet to sum.

The last parameter is the criteria. This is a separate table or the criteria range, with headers exactly same as that of the headers in the database. For example, if the database has three headers Flowers, Fragrance, and Crates, the criteria table too must have the same headers. Below the cell of each header, or below the cell of at least two or more headers, of this table, type the condition.

Here is an example: Say I want to find out the total crates of flowers if they have normal fragrance and if the crates of such flowers are more than 500. Below the Fragrance cell in the criteria range, I will type 'normal' and below the Crates cell, I will type the greater than symbol and the number 500.

Type the closing parenthesis and press Enter. The Google Sheets DSUM function will add the cells in the field, which meet the multiple criteria you specify, and displays the result.
