Joburg MMC for Public Safety, Mgcini Tshwaku, has revealed that police have found a crucial lead in the case of the murdered 14-year-old, Likhona Fose.
Tshwaku has called on the community to come forward with any information that could help solve the brutal murder of the teenager.
He was speaking at her memorial service held in Braamfischerville, Soweto, where emotions ran high as mourners gathered to pay their final respects.
The 14-year-old was found dead on Sunday last week, after she went missing on Saturday.
Her lifeless body was discovered mutilated in a veld near Durban Deep home in Roodepoort - West of Johannesburg.
