Imaging the sun for the first time with the ZWO seestar S50 Smart Telescope

Описание: I show how I imaged the sun in less than 5 minutes using the ZWO Seestar S50 smart telescope. This is my first out of the box solar imaging session with the Seestar, and just about everything was automatic.

In this video I'm using the Android App version 1.7.1 (Version 1.8 is already out and fixes a few bugs) but I didn't run into any bugs with solar imaging.

The only downside to the ZWO Seestar right now is that it is back ordered everywhere, so don't expect to get this guy for the Oct 14th 2023 annular eclipse. However, it should be widely available in time for the 2024 eclipse.

I also have a Dwarf Lab Dwarf 2 smart telescope (look for my companion video on how to solar image using that guy) which gives reasonable quality solar images (but it has a smaller aperture and larger FOV than the Seestar). The main advantage with the dwarf is that you can buy it on Amazon right now (The deluxe package includes the solar filters you need).
