This year, the Serious Series is taking place for the thirteenth time. Anna Kaluza and Jan Roder are organising the programme for the first time. Their aim is to present music that allows the unheard to become sound, circumvents conventions, combines the seemingly incompatible and crosses boundaries.
Free improvisation, current compositional concepts, references to the jazz tradition and electro-acoustic soundscapes come together again this year in a diverse programme.
Serious Series is funded by the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt.
