Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" from Die Walküre (arr. Carol Jantsch)

Описание: On Sept. 25, 2017, faculty tubist Carol Jantsch and her students Jake Fewx ’18MM ’19MMA and Joseph Guimaraes ’18MM gave a recital that included a performance of Jantsch’s arrangement of the "Ride of the Valkyries" from Wagner’s “Die Walküre.”

“Performing alongside my students is a great bonding experience,” Jantsch said, “and it's become an annual tradition for the Yale tuba studio to premiere a new arrangement together. Jake and Joseph were very good sports when I told them I wanted to play the complete ‘Ride of the Valkyries’ as a tuba trio and did a valiant job learning the preposterous amount of notes I wrote for them. I hope our performance brings a bit of joy to our Yale family and friends in this uncertain time.”
