This is the second video in the Teaching-Learning Strategies series. This episode provides some insights on Bloom’s Taxonomy of the Cognitive Domain. Bloom’s Taxonomy is not a strategy, but rather a framework that classifies thinking into six levels. Understanding this framework helps us to make informed decisions when we teach or design learning material. However, there are many misconceptions surrounding this framework, the most common ones being that you need to teach at the higher levels, and that the lower levels are less desirable. Therefore, to do justice to the topic, the episode is structured around some common misconceptions.
