Описание: On September 2, 1945, World War II finally ended. That was the day the Proclamation Signing of the Declaration aboard the U.S. Navy battleship, the USS Missouri, officially ended the world’s worst war. As we approach the 75th anniversary of that historic day, it remains vital to honor those who served. The Hauenstein Center is proud to join the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum, and partners in a two-day celebration of the Greatest Generation. We end our celebration on September 2 with a 6 PM flyover above the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids flyover (B-17, B-25 & C-47), following which Chris Wallace, journalist and host of Fox News Sunday, will give an online presentation about his recently published book, Countdown 1945: The Extraordinary Story of the Atomic Bomb and the 116 Days That Changed the World, at 7 PM.
