SANDBAR ISLAND RESORT: An alternative to Boracay? 4K

Описание: We were supposed to travel to Isla De Gigantes, a cluster of islands in the municipality of Carles in the province of Iloilo but bad weather prevented us from going there for our joiners island tour. Instead, together with my best old friends, we decided to travel to the Sandbar Island Resort located in Bulubadiangan Island in the municipality of Concepcion, about two hours from the city of Iloilo.
We took a motorised boat to the island through choppy waves and gusty winds. Instead of the expected 15 minutes, it took us 25 minutes to cross to the island on a slow speed. I was amazed by the natural beauty of the island with its white sandy beaches and the length of the sandbar itself. One of my friends told me that the sands in the sandbar are shifting sands, meaning, it shifts its shape depending on the weather pattern and water current. There were a couple of huts for rent and I saw a handful of guests including an Italian couple with their two children. Some visitors here stayed overnight and were provided with their needs by locals living in the island who looked after the resort. You don't see the usual hype that you would experience in Boracay. There's no crowd, no blaring music, no street hawkers and vendors but just plain stillness and calmness when you are in search for a restful vacation on an island beach. Could this be an alternative to Boracay then? Come visit and see for yourself.
