Описание: Hello, in this video we are going to be looking at wider issues, Family, Friends, and Taking Sides in a Divorce.

When friends take sides after a divorce it's tough and hurtful.

Perhaps one reason why friendships change so much after divorce is because friends -- like some family members -- aren't comfortable with grief and so become rejecting or cool. They might even side with your ex, not realising that they are polarising and encouraging conflict between the two of you.

But there is another reason, according to leading experts who say “Your break-up means your friends have to look at their own relationship. You are a mirror in which they might see something which resonates with them, which they would rather be in denial about. Friends don’t want any of your bad energy being reflected back at them.”

A really good friend will also suggest that you see your ex’s perspective on certain things, rather than just feeding your anger and will support you in thinking about what comes next.
