The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Anjadip, a specialised shallow-water anti-submarine warfare vessel designed to hunt submarines close to India’s coastline. The warship is part of the Arnala-class programme that will add 16 such vessels to India’s fleet, strengthening coastal defence and completing a critical layer of the Navy’s anti-submarine network.
