6 Duterte lawyers won't sit in court well during ICC hearing - Kaufman | ABS-CBN News

Описание: Lead defense counsel Nicholas Kaufman welcomed six Filipino lawyers who will be watching the ICC confirmation of charges of ex-president Rodrigo Duterte but said they will not be inside the court well during the hearing.

“Unfortunately they've arrived at the last minute, so it won't be possible to get them passes so they can actually sit inside the court well. But anyway, they will be here and we're glad to have them here,” he said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN’s Zen Hernandez.

Kaufman said the attendance of the six lawyers - former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, former LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III, former Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, former BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay, former Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, and Alfredo Lim Jr. - was not a last minute decision of the Duterte family.

He noted that Medialdea and Delgra have been working with the defense team, adding that the lawyers will “explain the proceedings to the Filipino nation, to the public, through unfiltered and unbiased stance.”
