On Monday, silver prices hit the lower circuit for the second consecutive day in the domestic commodity market. On Monday, silver fell by more than ₹1,94,000 from its peak of ₹4,20,000. Gold prices also continued their downward trend. This decline in India is due to the fall in international bullion prices caused by the strengthening of the US dollar and profit-taking by investors. Similarly, gold for April contract delivery on the MCX witnessed a sharp decline of ₹10,688, or approximately 7.23%, during the day's trading, reaching a low of ₹137,065 per 10 grams.
