Before heading home to our families on Christmas Eve 2018 we decided to end the year with a little formation flight out of Herrenteich, our home airport (ICAO code: EDEH). Knowing that the Christmas days are the lowest in traffic volume at the major airports, we wanted to try our luck and see if we could get a low approach at Germany's biggest airport: Frankfurt Main (ICAO code: EDDF). And thanks to the nice controllers at Langen FIS and Frankfurt Tower it worked beautifully!
It ended up as a flight of four aircraft, led by me in my Cessna 140 from 1947. Full list:
