I highly suggest that you rent a car so that you can explore all of what the island has to offer. Our favorite time of the trip was simply getting into the car and driving without a destination in mind. However, you do not have to rent a car. There are taxi's and public bus service that you can take advantage of. There are no ride share companies like Uber, Lyft, etc.
