Gifting permaculture education to refugees

Описание: These three women cooked for a permaculture design course at Geoff Lawton's permaculture farm and then donated a chunk of their profits to us (through our charity the Ethos Foundation https://ethosfoundation.org.au) to support a number of youth in refugee settlements in East Africa to gain their internationally accredited Permaculture Design Certificate.

We are sending 100% of donations to support youth in Kalobeyei refugee settlement in Kenya. At Ethos Foundation we support the localised and locally led training of thousands of local children, youth and women across East African permaculture camps.

The courses in the camps are run by local teachers and supported and mentored by Morag Gamble of the Permaculture Education Institute (https://permacultureeducationinstitut...)

New programs are starting up every month and the aim is to support 1000s people displaced from their homes - sometimes for decades. This all happens with support from people like you. I am in conversation every day with different leaders in the camps and send 100% of donations to enable the locally-designed and led programs to myceliate. Morag covers the costs of this and volunteers her time to organise.

This year we are working with many local permaculture educators (and members of this global learning community) in refugee settlements across East Africa to support permakids programs, permaculture school programs, permayouth hubs with film, art, writing and music programs , localised PDCs, teacher training, mentoring and teacher training programs, permaculture education farms, community seed exchanges, permaculture livelihood education and much more.
