Seppe Nobels will temporarily take up residence in the Oud Gasthuis from January 2024, building a gastronomic training programme with new Mechliners and new Europeans. The focus is on culinary exchange, social employment and the richness of organic Mechelen agriculture, the short chain and the Burgundian tradition of our city. Together with the trainees, Seppe transforms their past memories into new culinary or gastronomic creations with European kitchen techniques and Flemish ingredients in the leading role. This is not just a restaurant, but a total experience in an artistic and culinary setting, with a big social heart where art and food work together towards a sustainable future.
