In this video, I try something I’ve been curious about for a while: swapping the Reaper V1 lightgun shells with Reaper V2 shells to see if it’s possible to save some money and gain the added accessory mounting holes that come standard on the V2.

I break down:
Whether the V2 shells physically fit the V1 internals
How difficult the shell swap actually is
If the accessory mounting points are usable
And most importantly… is this upgrade worth it, or should you just buy the V2 outright?

If you’re running a lightgun setup for arcade shooters, emulation, or a home cab, this might be a useful (or cautionary) experiment before you spend the cash.
