The landmark moment will arrive in September 2025, when the Indian Air Force receives its first two fully armed TEJAS MK-1A jets, replacing the ageing MiG-21 fleet. With a total order of 180 aircraft and 65% local sourcing, HAL’s project is India’s biggest indigenous aviation milestone.
