Time for some Metheny / Mays music :-) Wiki says: "This Is Not America" is a song by jazz fusion band Pat Metheny Group and rock singer David Bowie (who wrote the lyrics), taken from the soundtrack for the John Schlesinger film "The Falcon and the Snowman". The song, a midtempo ballad, was released as a single that reached No. 14 in the UK and No. 32 in the US. The song later appeared on Bowie's greatest hits compilation Best of Bowie(...) Metheny later noted that Bowie's words were "profound and meaningful—and absolutely perfect for the film."
So this is coming from one of my most favorite soundtracks - there are not too much piano solo versions out there. I tried to integrate the typical bass groove (played by Steve Rodby) which you might know also from PMG´s "Are You Going With Me" or "End Of The Game". Enjoy!
