Children of all ages are picking up on messages about boundaries and consent - Begin modeling and communicating about these concepts when they are young! Today we bring you “social stories” about these important concepts. Social stories are often used with individuals with intellectual/developmental disability or autism – but they can be used with any person to describe a situation or a concept using pictures and very few words. Today I also share an example of how a person who is non-verbal can begin learning to ask for and give consent before being touched.
