New Frame Antenna available

Описание: New in our shop is a high-quality frame-antenna available as a kit and readily assembled. It is usable with a 500 pF tuning-capacitor for the longwave- and medium-wave AM band.
The frame and the other parts are made of acrylic (perspex; "plexiglass"). There are binding post for connecting the antenna to your tuning-capacitor, crystal-radio etc.
A lazy susan, a turntable or potter´s wheel is a nice addendum for blanking out noise.
What are the skin-effect and the proximity-effect?
How and why do they affect the q-factor of a coil resp. a tak-circuit?
Roger explains all in detail, demonstrates the 2 effects and what measures must be taken to counteract them with an Excel-sheet.
There are many misconceptions about the use of litz-wire and some interesting conclusions how to get a very high q-factor coil or resonant magnetic antenna.
