Описание: 大勢至菩薩是西方極樂世界阿彌陀佛的右脅侍者，八大菩薩之一，與觀世音菩薩、文殊菩薩、普賢菩薩、地藏菩薩齊名的大菩薩。 大勢至菩薩原來的梵文名字叫摩訶娑太摩鉢羅鉢眵。既可以意譯爲大勢至，又可以譯爲大精進。大勢至菩薩用智慧光普照一切，令衆生離三途，得無上力。
《悲華經》中曾這樣記載：過去有位無量淨轉輪聖王，他大太子是觀世音菩薩，二太子是大勢至菩薩。後來這個轉輪聖王修行成佛，即西方極樂世界阿彌陀佛，觀世音菩薩和大勢至菩薩就成爲了父親的左右脅侍。與觀世音菩薩的慈悲光一樣，遍照一切衆生，而大勢至菩薩的光是智慧的光，具有使衆生脫離三途之苦的力量，因此大勢至菩薩之名號，意思就是智慧的大勢遍至十方。大悲菩提寺 妙音法師 開示

It was recorded in the Sutra of Compassion: In the past, there was an immeasurable pure wheel-turning holy king. Later, this wheel-turning holy king cultivated and became a Buddha, that is, Amitabha Buddha in the Western Pure Land, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva became his father's left and right attendants. Like the light of compassion of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, it illuminates all sentient beings, and the light of Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva is the light of wisdom, which has the power to free all living beings from the suffering of the Three Lower Realms. Therefore, the name of Bodhisattva Mahāsthāmaprāpta means that the great strength of wisdom spreads to the Ten Directions. This story shared by Master Miao Yin

The GREAT COMPASSION BODHI PRAJNA TEMPLE, located in a peaceful hidden forest just north of Toronto, Ontario, has been strongly devoted to providing both adult Buddhism education and youth mediation education in the western society for the past ten years.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic during the past three years, the temple has temporarily been closed to the public.
