In this video, you’ll create the home page of the sample database application, which is a dashboard that users see when they successfully access the application after providing valid credentials. The Home page contains six regions to display different summarized information. It uses a 12 columns layout to place these regions accordingly. Besides the application name and logo, the page carries the main navigation menu, which is used to move to other application segments. The navigation bar on the top right side allows you to log out of the application. By default, it displays the id of the currently logged-in user, along with a Sign Out link. The Feedback option on the Navigation bar provides a mechanism for end users to post general comments for application administrators and developers. You can add more options to this bar. The body of a page can have multiple regions that act as containers to display information from database tables. You can place buttons in regions that act as links and allow you to access other application pages to get further details. In addition to buttons, the page also contains text links to dig into the details of the summarized information. Using the options provided in the Developers Toolbar, you can switch to the Page Designer instantly and perform various other development tasks. The Install App option appears when you choose Progressive Web App (PWA) option while creating a new application. When users tap the Install App option, the application is opened in a standalone window, which is free of the browser's UI. You can also add a banner to your application.
