Ford recognizes the needs of commercial and fleet customers and knows that these customers need something more than what an F-150 can offer. These customers need more power, more torque ,greater towing capacity and an all-round tougher pickup. And that's where the Super Duty trucks come in. These trucks have more than 50% market share in utility, mining, construction and emergency response vehicles according to the S&P Global Mobility data.

During the launch event Ford CEO Jim Farley revealed a figure that shocked everybody. What people don't know is that if Ford's heavy duty vehicles were its own business ,it would be a Fortune 500 company. The Super Duty business line is a high ticket and profitable area of business for Ford which is why they've put so much effort into improving the offering. While they continue to invest billions into new EV models, Ford also needs to underpin that investment with solid profitable business lines.

The designs of the new trucks are notably different on the exterior featuring redesigned C-clamp lights and larger grilles

The 2023 Super Duty lineup rolls out with 7 different grille designs which vary among the trim levels and available appearance packages. All models now come with brand new c-shaped LED headlights and a massive grille. The addition of long side vents is said to improve the truck's aerodynamics. They've added bumper steps as standard so you can access the flatbed easily. Ford has clearly spent a lot of time with their customers and have observed their customers lugging around a portable generator and have now added something unique to a gas powered pickup. Borrowing from their EV knowledge and the popularity of this feature on the F-150 Lightning they've included their power on board that delivers 2 kilowatts of power. That's enough to power a job site, tailgate workshop or even your home during a power outage
