I bought this ICE Amtrak second hand for €200.
And an extra powered DB loco to change the Amtrak shell Unpowered loco for 2e powered loco. Both Amtrak locomotives are now powered.

Drive with two powered locomotives on traction tires. I’m thinking it’s not a good option. So, I order some extra metal gear wheels with no traction tires. To chance it. Because one locomotive weigh 116 grams / 4 ounces. That’s same weight of a kato diesel locomotive ES44AC weight of 4 ounces with no traction tires. Two of these engine have to be strong enough for my future plan 9 ICE passengers cars.

I’m going to chance all light bulb for headlight LEDs and red marker light LEDs. To connecting it straight to the DCC ESU decoder.

Passengers cars. First I’m using that DB passenger car to test it out before I start with my Amtrak passengers cars. To put these Fleischmann 944701 LED interior lighting. See if it fit in. But if you put the LEDs down you get that ugly capacitor front the windows. So I chose to turn the light board that’s all LEDs pointing upwards to the roof to keep the capacitor out of sight. With aluminum foil stuck in the roof with double-sided tape. This is how the light reflects beautiful into the passengers car. I’m also plan to put many passengers in.

And I put also some people’s inside. But to fit them, you have to cut their legs off. And sometimes more to get them front the windows. Not there head above!

Also ICE connecting rod I’m going chance it for Magnetic coupling 2-pole. Because if every time disconnect the cars it’s going to brake one time where the rod go into. So I have two option;
1. Fleischmann ICE adapter couplers 9577 and 9570.
2. Magnetic couplers. “3dPrint-N Paul-P”
And Magnetic couplers I can connect two wires on. So the power go from track through all couplers into all passengers cars and locomotives.
