South India Road Trip | Day 13 | Asthamudi to Kanyakumari via Jatayu Earth Centre | EP 12

Описание: After a blissful stay at a floating cottage on Ashtamudi Lake and a rejuvenating Kerala Ayurvedic oil massage, we set off on Day 12 of our South India road trip.
This scenic journey took us from Kollam to Kanyakumari via Jatayu Earth’s Centre, covering nearly 200 km mostly along NH66.

From misty backwaters and coconut-lined roads to rolling hills, rubber plantations, and winding mountain drives, the landscapes kept changing every hour. A highlight of the day was visiting Jatayu Earth’s Centre, home to the world’s largest bird sculpture, perched atop a rocky hill with breathtaking views of the Western Ghats.

Continuing towards Kanyakumari, the scenery shifted once again as we crossed from Kerala into Tamil Nadu. The day ended with a magical ferry ride to Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar Statue, watching the sun set at the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean.

This drive wasn’t just about reaching a destination—it was about experiencing changing landscapes, rich culture, mythology, and the true joy of open roads.
