Excel - PivotTable Basics
PivotTables are a powerful data analysis tool in Excel that allow a user to easily organize and summarize information in a table or data list without having to write complicated formulas. In this session, students will learn the basics of creating and using PivotTables in Excel. Topics include properly formatting and organizing a data list, creating a PivotTable, understanding the parts of a PivotTable, manipulating fields within a PivotTable to produce the desired results, basic sorting and filtering, formatting a PivotTable using styles, adding and refreshing data, and changing data field settings.
