I might be in the minority when I say I prefer the Master System / Game Gear version of Sonic 1 over the Genesis version (still an awesome game, but I just prefer the other one), & it's soundtrack is easily one of the reasons why.
This song is somehow short yet super freaking catchy and memorable. Yuzo Koshiro is a goddamn legend, and I love his work a ton!!!
