Students often get confused about deemed universities and how their NEET counseling works. These private MBBS colleges come under the All India quota, so you must register on the MCC portal by paying ₹5,000, no matter your category. On top of that, there’s a refundable security deposit of around ₹2 lakh, but take care: if you take a free exit in Round 3 or miss joining your allotted college in the stray vacancy rounds, you lose that deposit and can even lose NEET eligibility for next year.

If your NEET score is below 450 but you still want MBBS, you can apply to these deemed universities if your budget allows. Scoring above 450 means you should first go for government MBBS or BAMS counseling under MCC.
