Dateline Philippines: Caloocan 2nd District Rep. Edgar Erice on Friday (December 12) weighed in on the Anti-Dynasty bill filed by House Speaker Bojie Dy and House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos.
Erice criticized the said bill, saying it will "only legitimize political dynasties" in the country.
The lawmaker is set to ask the Supreme Court to urge the Congress to enact an enabling law for Anti-Political Dynasty.
"Kinakailangan talaga, magkaroon na ng ruling ang Supreme Court na dapat ipasa na ito ng Kongreso dahil ito ay dereliction of duty at grave abuse of authority ng Kongreso kung hindi namin ipapasa ito," he argued.
