The moment the match began, he did the serve with weird hand twirls before and after the serve that made me feel like I was watching a magic show. The ball spun like crazy, and before I even realized what happened, the table tennis point was gone. Next point was even worse. When my ball flew off the table, he screamed “YES! YES! YES!” like he just won the World Championships. Every point had either a scream, or some unorthodox trick shot that no coach in the world would ever teach. For street players, it’s all about mind games and making your opponent doubt themselves. And trust me, he made sure I doubted myself after every single table tennis rally.
