दिल्ली: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 80वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर लाल किले पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया। राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के साथ ही 1721 फील्ड बैटरी (सेरेमोनियल) के गनर्स ने 21 तोपों की सलामी दी। स्वदेशी 105mm लाइट फील्ड गन का इस्तेमाल करने वाली इस सेरेमोनियल बैटरी की कमान मेजर पवन सिंह शेखावत के पास है और गन पोजीशन ऑफिसर नायब सूबेदार (गनरी में असिस्टेंट इंस्ट्रक्टर) अनुतोष सरकार हैं।

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoists the National Flag at Red Fort on the 80th Independence Day. The hoisting of the National Flag was synchronised with the 21-Gun Salute by the gunners of the 1721 Field Battery (Ceremonial). The ceremonial battery, utilising the indigenous 105mm Light Field Guns, is commanded by Major Pawan Singh Shekhawat, and the Gun Position Officer is Naib Subedar (Assistant Instructor in Gunnery) Anuthosh Sarkar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the National Flag at the historic Red Fort in Delhi on August 15, 2026, as India celebrated its 80th Independence Day. The grand ceremonial moment was synchronized with a traditional 21-gun salute, marking one of the most significant and patriotic moments of the Independence Day celebrations.

The 21-gun salute was performed by the gunners of the 1721 Field Battery (Ceremonial), using indigenous 105mm Light Field Guns. The ceremonial battery was commanded by Major Pawan Singh Shekhawat, while Naib Subedar Anuthosh Sarkar served as the Gun Position Officer and Assistant Instructor in Gunnery.
