Embark on a journey through the remarkable cultural and natural wonders of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Venice and Its Lagoon", with eight stand-out routes for walking and cycling. These routes guide you from the heart of Venice to the lagoon-side towns of Chioggia and Mira, whose territories are integral parts of this prestigious site.
The itineraries have been developed by the City of Venice, in collaboration with Mira and Chioggia, as part of the project "Venice and Its Lagoon: Managing and Enhancing Tourist Flows". Funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism, the project aims to promote the site's rich heritage while advocating for a sustainable, mindful approach to tourism management.
