51st Western Canada Basketball Tournament
THE FINALS! The Kelowna Owls are seeking to win the tournament for the fourth time in history and to avenge the loss in last year's final. Sadly, they were not able to contain the number 1 team in Alberta, whose isolation scoring, offensive rebounding, and corner threes helped propel them to the championship win. Notable performers for the Owls included Finn Stewart, who was the most consistent scorer for the Owls all tournament, and Logan Parker, who came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 straight points to keep the Owls within striking distance. For the Rams, it was an incredible all-around effort punctuated by guard Justice Aciaga, guard Elijah Thomas, Guard/Forward Clyde Mbachu and tournament MVP Elijah Johnson
