A pilot with Air2 LLC (provider of power line repair services, helicopter-assisted construction, maintenance, inspection, and emergency response services) performing a training flight on a Saturday afternoon with one of their Hughes 369D helicopters.
The pilot of the MD-500 was assisted by a man on the ground that helped with attaching hooks and weights to the end of the rope hanging from the helicopter. The pilot would then transition into an 180˚ oval turnaround to return back to where he started to set down the item he just picked up.
