Thirukkolur Vaithamanithi Perumal Temple is one of the 108 Vaishnava temples where the auspicious Azhwars performed Mangalasanam and it is the eighth Tirupati in Nava Tirupati.
Due to the curse of Parvati, the wealth known as Nava Nidhis was taken away from Kubera. It went and surrendered to Thirumal. Hence Thirumal is called Vaithamanithi. Later Kubera worshipped at this Thirumal temple and received the Nava Nidhis,
