The Pakistan Army on Thursday evening resorted to artillery shelling and drone attacks in the Jammu region, prompting an effective retaliation from the Indian Armed Forces.

Sources said that in response to multiple attempted aerial incursions involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), defensive systems were promptly activated in Jammu.

The drones were successfully neutralised mid-air through the coordinated deployment of advanced technologies, said sources, adding that no damage or casualties were reported.

The Pakistani Army attacked several places across Jammu, with artillery firing and drone attacks. Reports have emerged of artillery shelling in Kupwara, along with shelling targeting the air base in Pathankot.
