Christie’s in London have auctioned guitars and amps from the personal collection of music legend Mark Knopfler. Frontman of the British band Dire Stratis, Knopfler has more than 120 for sale. They went under the hammer 31 January 2024. The estimated sale totalled £8,840,160 / $11,227,003 / €10,342,987. The guitar hero will donate 25% to his supported charities.
