First time playing Groza, and I already see it will be a very strong Frigate, especially against Boats. Considering I played it without upgrades (not even a Tool Set!), I think 14 kills is good enough result to prove me right ;).
We won this battle, and it's a bit of a shame I died there right in the end! But without upgrades, especially without Rudder Replacement and engine upgrades, it's really hard to avoid torps on ships.
Groza is unfortunately a very sluggish Frigate, without upgrades it barely turns, it barely accelerates/decelerates. You also can't shoot forward or backward with it (which is a bit of a problem, you always need to show the side to the enemy). Main guns are also pretty inaccurate. It doesn't use new ships damage model yet (this can be changed in the future), so it's much easier to kill this Frigate even with Boats!
But the firepower on this Frigate is simply amazing! Main guns are capable of killing early Destroyers. Secondaries are deadly to both Planes and Boats. You also have torpedoes, that's always a good thing!
I have a feeling I will have a lot of fun playing this Frigate!
