This 1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe is a beautifully restored, stock Model A that is well-optioned and ready to roll! Today, the 1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe remains one of the most beloved vintage cars among collectors and enthusiasts. Under the hood on this 1931 Model A Coupe is a 200.5 cubic inch L-Head inline 4 cylinder engine breathing through a single barrel downdraft carburetor. The engine is mated to a 3 speed manual transmission that is shifted via a floor-mounted shifter in the standard pattern. Exhaust exits via a single exhaust port that generates a terrific sound. While options for 1931 Fords were fairly rudimentary, this particular Model A Coupe is loaded with great ones! Riding on a set of wide whitewall tires mounted on Vermilion red painted Wire Wheels, this 1931 5-Window Coupe has an outstanding look. The chrome plated radiator is topped by the optional "Flying Quail" hood ornament and is protected by an accessory stone guard. In addition to the chrome headlights are dual chrome cowl lights that further improve visibility in low light situations. Dual covered side-mounted spare tires are another wonderful option that are both functional and add to this already great looking Coupe. Each side mount is also topped with a chrome outside mirror that improve sightlines while squeezing into a tight parking space and while cruising down the road. The driver is further aided by an auxiliary chrome outside mirror mounted on the a-pillar that is more easily adjusted by the driver while cruising. A wood-trimmed chrome luggage rack allows this Model A 5 Window to be used on overnight trips. While the Model A came with a single taillight, this particular Model A has been outfitted with an optional second taillight that makes the car much safer during longer driving excursions. The all steel body had been refinished in Ford Medium Maroon paint with black beltline accents with Vermilion red pinstripes and the all steel fenders are refinished in black, completing the wonderful exterior look of this '31 Model A. The interior of this 1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe is superbly stock! The tufted bench seat has been reupholstered in Beige Bedford Cord cloth. The matching beige Bedford upholstered door panels w/ side pockets, tan carpeting, woodgrain-trimmed window surrounds and dash, and the steering wheel all retain a nice stock appearance and all show particularly well. The iconic chrome instrument cluster comes equipped with an 85 MPH rotary-style speedometer with an integrated odometer, an amp gauge, as well as a fuel gauge. The rear rumble seat is quite the novelty and has been reupholstered in a light brown vinyl that provides improved weather protection should you need it.
