Why NVIDIA builds their own open models | Nemotron w/ Bryan Catanzaro

I sat down with Bryan Catanzaro, VP of Applied Deep Learning Research at ‪@NVIDIA‬, to talk about the Nemotron-3 rollout and what's really going on inside NVIDIA's AI org. Bryan's been at NVIDIA since the early CUDA days (he literally coined the name "Megatron"), left to work at Baidu's AI Lab with Andrew Ng and Dario Amodei, and came back to build NVIDIA's applied research group.
