#HePūrongo Mangatawa whānau were urgently evacuated from their papakāinga after severe land slips, and a large sinkhole opened near the marae and homes, also posing a risk of breaking water pipes. Mangatawa Pāpāmoa Blocks Inc. is working with the council and iwi to ensure the safety of all residents, with kaumātua being moved to motels and some residents to Te Whetu o te Rangi Marae.
