The low side of this IH 666 Ta was slipping to the point where the tractor had zero forward motion. The low side of this TA is driven by what is called a ramp and roller. If the "main part" of your TA is healthy enough, one can simply install a new ramp and roller and life can be good again.
The hardest part of this job is installing the TA assembly into the transmission housing without damaging the TA housing seal. You really won't know if the seal is damaged until everything is put together and you give it a test run. If this happens, Satan has truly struck your 666. Say a soft prayer or two on this job and you should be good.
