I bought an Dell XPS 8900 cheap to try to flip, but when I tried to add RAM, it wouldn't POST with dual channel RAM. Removed the CPU and found bent pins, so I decided to do a full upgrade on the system and swap out the motherboard completely. Then I added a Core i7 10700 CPU, Gigabyte RTX 3070, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a 500GB Western Digital SN850 Black SSD. Definitely overkill for this build, but it was a fun project.
