Moon Jae-in has won the presidential elections in South Korea. He took more than 40 percent of the vote according to exit polls. The 64 year old is a former student activist - he was jailed in the 70s for protesting against President Park Guen Hye's father Park Chung Hee. He repeatedly said during his campaign he would reach out to North Korea, a stark departure from his predecessor and he pledged to take on the powerful family firms which run South Korean business and politics.
