Foggy Morning Blues: Trolling the Tennessee River for Blue Catfish

Описание: The heat forced me to get an early start on this day. I hit the water at 530am to do some trolling along a drop off where I had caught some fish the previous week. I still had some skipjack left over from earlier in the week so I wanted to hit this area at dawn with a quality bait to see if it would improve the quality of fish. It definitely seemed to help as I caught some good fish along with one really nice blue that measured 37". The fish seemed to show a preference for baits that were dragging early on. Then as the day went on, I started to get more on the suspended baits. Current flow was only at 10k cfs which is nothing where I was fishing at. I am inclined to believe I could have gotten even better fish if there had been a better current flow. Nevertheless, it was an awesome morning of fishing.
